Árboles en la niebla / Trees in the mist

Cuatro meses después de disfrutar con los hoyos y las hayas de la Sierra de Sel, volvimos con ganas de ver cómo se veían los árboles en su vestimenta primaveral. 

Four months after enjoying our walk through the beech woods and hollows in Sel Sierra, we returned to the area eager to see the trees in spring wear 

Esta vez hicimos la caminata desde el valle de Aras, atravesando un bosque mixto

This time we began in the Aras valley, following a path up through mixed woodland

Una larga pista nos subía hacia la sierra. Debido a la niebla, que nos acompañó durante toda la jornada, no pudimos disfrutar de vistas hacia el valle. Esta cabaña abandonada era de los pocos lugares interesantes de esta parte de la ruta.

Once into the open we were unable to look down on the valley owing to the mist that was to stay put all day. The remains of this stone hut was one of the few interesting spots on this part of the walk.

La niebla prestaba el trasfondo a la zona boscosa por la que transitamos

The mist provided the backdrop to the wooded landscape through which we continued

Este tronco me recordaba la cara de un animal

This tree trunk reminded me of an animal's face

Llegamos a una dolina que nos había llamado especialmente la atención en invierno

We reached a depression that had struck us in particular during the winter

Una cabaña abandonada a que nos aproximamos desde otra dirección la última vez

We approached these ruins from a different direction to last time

Este macho cabrío se sorprendía de vernos

This billy goat seemed surprised to see us

Y así acabó mi primera visits a esta parte de la Junta de Voto

And so ended my first visit to this part of the province
