El tiempo purriego se portó/ With the weather on our side

A la salida de San Mamés en Polaciones, Peña Sagra estaba metida dentro de una nube

When we set off from a village in Polaciones (SW Cantabria), Peña Sagra was hidden by cloud

En Invernaillas ya pisábamos nieve y la nube seguía sin apartarse
When we reached the snow line the cloud was still there

Sin embargo, a medida que subíamos empezaba a soplar un viento frío que nos hizo el favor de quitar las nubes de las cumbres.
However,  as we moved upwards a cold wind started to blow and did us the favour of shifting the cloud

Íbamos en diagonal hacia la base de la Mesa La Yuncá (la cima justo al E del Cuernón)
We advanced diagonally towards the base of the peak just to the East of the highest point of the sierra

Se quitaba la nube de Peña Labra un momento

The cloud moved away from Peña Labra for a few moments

Las nubes seguían por la Sierra del Cordel pero en la de Peña Sagra aparecían cielos azules
The clouds weren't budging from the Sierra el Cordel, but  we were now enjoying blue skies

As we approached the village, the clouds were still keeping their distance
