El sentido de la vida / The meaning of life

El título no hace referencia a la película de ese nombre de los Monty Python, aunque sí estaba presente Monty....En un día cuando disfrutamos de una temperatura perfecta y panorámicas estupendas experimenté la entelequia (con su acepción positiva). No pretendo haber capturado más que la parte más pequeña con mi cámara, pero espero que algo quede de su esencia.

The title has nothing to do with the Monty Python film of the same name, though Monty was present....  On a day blessed with a perfect temperature and awe-inspiring views, this is as near to entelechy as it gets for me. I can't claim that my camera captured much of this, but hopefully some of the essence is here.

Empezamos el paseo en Campoo, por encima de la niebla que cubría Reinosa.

The day's walk began in southern Cantabria not far from Reinosa, which was still under cloud cover as we made our way up to Pico Liguardi.

Desde el collado de Rumaceo admiramos los Picos Cordel e Iján

At the Rumaceo pass Picos Cordel and Iján rise up in front of us.

Subimos hacia la izquierda, a Pico Liguardi. Desde la cima se ve Peña Sagra a la derecha de los Picos y Cueto Concilla más a la derecha.
We ascended to the left; from the top Peña Sagra can be seen to the right of the Picos, with Cueto Concilla on the far right.

Al bajar nos llamaba la atención el efecto de la luz sobre el brezo

We were struck by the effects of the sunlight on the heather
