From La Pereda, a group of huts at the end of a long walk up a track accompanied by gusts of wind that were so strong it made me think I was foolish to go on.

The original plan was to go down via the east side but getting across the ridge in that wind didn't seem like the best idea so we went back the way we'd come. Here we'd made it to the foot of the ascent
