Una mañana tranquila. El canto del cuco sonaba cerca del Molino de Butrera. Recorrimos la carretera hasta el pueblo, dejando la iglesia románica a nuestra derecha.
A calm morning. A cuckoo somewhere in the woods near the mill. We follow the road to the village of Butrera, walking up through the streets and out the other side.
La niebla tardó en levantarse, pero ayudaba a crear un ambiente de paz mientras seguíamos una pista que pasaba delante de campos de trigo, avena y cebada. Un cuco se oía durante buen rato. Aunque es un pájaro nada solidario, me gusta oírlo.
The fog was taking its time disappearing, but lent itself towards a feeling of peace as we walked along the trail past fields of wheat, oats and barley. The quiet was punctuated by the insistent calls of another cuckoo.

The lifting of the fog was as gentle as the slope we made our way up
Después de un buen rato así, la niebla empezaba a ceder ante los rayos de sol y dejamos la pista para coger un sendero que subía por el bosque
After a good while the sunlight started to break through and we left the trail to follow a path up through the woods
El sendero nos llevaba al alto de Pantarra y decidimos avanzar al este hacia el punto más elevado. La senda se seguía sin problemas por la maleza espesa. Algunos hitos se habían colocado en los árboles
The path brought us up to the top of the hill and from there we headed east towards the highest point. We made our way through the thick vegetation without difficulty. One or two cairns were placed in the crook of the branches along the way
Después de un rato llegábamos a ocasionales claros desde donde poder contemplar la panorámica hacia el sur
Occasional clearings allowed us a glimpse of the views to the south
Delante estaba el punto más alto: el Pantarra. Había que bajar un poco antes de alcanzar la cima
Ahead lay the highest point: Pantarra. We had to go down before going up again to get there
Fortunately, the fog had now lifted completely
Desafortunadamente el punto geodésico se escondía entre los arbustos y no había vistas
Unfortunately, the trig point was surrounded by bushes and there were no views
Dimos la vuelta, parando alguna vez en los lugares donde se oteaba el sur
On the walk back we stopped at the odd place where we could survey the south
Pero mayoritariamente las vistas eran de la senda y la vegetación que la rodeaba

But for the most part we had views of the path and the trees
Después de volver al sendero que nos había traído al alto bajamos cómodamente al NO y salimos cerca del pueblo de Linares. Nos acercamos a la iglesia
Back on the path that had taken us to the top part of the hill, we descended to the NW and came out near the village of Linares - one of several with that name in Spain. We went to have a look at the church
De ahí, a coger la pista que nos llevaría de vuelta. La bajada hacia el pueblo atraviesa un bosque bonito
From there we took the trail back to Butrera. The last part runs down through a pleasant wooded area
Empezaban a caer gotas pero a diferencia de los días anteriores no hubo tormenta
Rain drops started to fall, but we were spared the thunderstorms of the previous days
Desde Butrera se ve el lado oriental del alto de Pantarra; la cima no se ve ¡como corresponde!
From Butrera you can see the eastern end of Pantarra - the summit is hidden from view, which is quite appropriate really.
