Como vaticinaba hace un par de semanas, nuestra siguiente salida a los collados del Asón tenía como objetivo explorar el coladero entre las dos moles de los Campanarios
As predicted two weeks previously, our next outing to the Asón area was to explore the gap between the two cliffs that make up the Campanarios

We entered the beech wood, which was just about to start donning its autumn hues
We left the path, making our way past fallen trees and boulders

As we walked up the slope to our left the limestone wall came into view, the light lending it an unreal quality, like something out of a sci-fi movie

Este hito nos daba la bienvenida, y continuamos al otro lado de la dolina
We were greeted by a cairn and continued to the other side of the dolina

El siguiente tramo de la subida era por esta pedrera de bloques que facilitaba el camino por el karst
The next part of the ascent up these rock slabs, providing an easy route through the karst

and at the top a look back at the copse and gap to the left
La cima de los Campanarios estaba a un solo un par de minutos. Continúa hacia el Picón del Fraile
The Campanarios summit was just a couple of minutes away. It continues towards a military structure

Later on we walked down through a lovely beech wood
