Este fin de semana hemos estado contemplando la Canal del Vidrio desde Áliva: We spent this weekend in Áliva and had the opportunity to admire the Canal del Vidrio:

Subí en el teleférico y empecé a andar desde el cable. En la Horcadina de Covarrobres hay que coger el ramal de la derecha I took the cable car from Fuente Dé and started my walk from the upper station. At the fork in the track you take the right hand path

Luego hay que buscar el camino más facil para seguir las faldas del escarpe a la izquierda hasta llegar a la zona de las minas abandonadas de las Manforas y la base de la Canal a la izq.
Then, following the escarpment on the left, make your way to the abandoned Manforas mines and the beginning of the Canal del Vidrio on the left

La parte más memorable para mí es el emplazamiento de esta caseta de mineros metida en las rocas.
No hay pérdida si subes la Canal, pero si la bajas, corres el riesgo de no dar con el sitio donde tienes que girar a la derecha hacia la caseta (que no se ve todavía). Si no aciertas, llegas a un cortado o te puedes enriscar, que parece que ocurre con cierta frecuencia.
The most memorable part for me is this old miners' hut set in the rockface.
It's pretty straightforward from there if you're ascending, but if you're coming down, you run the risk of missing the place where you have to turn down to the right towards the (as yet unseen) hut. If you walk past the turning you come to a sheer drop or could get stuck amongst the rocks, which apparently happens fairly oftenSales de ese tramo y subes a la izquierda por terreno más cómodo
