Hacia el otro lado está Peña Labra, adonde fui en mi última visita a estos lares
Looking in the other direction (E) is Peña Labra, which is where I went last time I was here
Al lado occidental del puerto se encuentran las Sierras Albas, y seguimos una pista que arranca unos 100 metros más allá del aparcamiento y se interna en un bosque para ganar algo de altitud. A la salida vemos estas montañas hacia el S-O; creo que son la Horca de Lores y Peña Carazo, con Curavacas a la derecha.
The western side of the pass is called Sierras Albas, and we followed a track along the upper part.
Nos vamos acercando a Peña Ciquera (también conocida como Peña de Brez o Bres)
Atravesamos un segundo bosque
We went through a couple of woods on the way
y salimos enfrente de Peña Ciquera. Seguimos la pista hasta un abrevadero antes de ascender diagonalmente hacia una zona herbosa entre el muro principal y unas rocas apartadas a la izq.
and then came out opposite Peña Ciquera. Following the track as far as a water trough, we then continued diagonally up towards the right to a gap between the main crag and a smaller outcrop to the left
Hay que trepar los últimos metros, y el premio son estas vistas desde la cima: los Picos
After a scramble up the final part, we were rewarded with the views from the top: the Picos

Así continuamos el paseo, bajando hasta el collado para luego seguir la pista, que sube de nuevo rodeando la colina de enfrente
So the walk continued down to the col and then up and along the ridge
Desde Vistrió miramos hacia atrás a la cima caliza

Desde el collado de Vistió vemos Caloca, a la izquierda de la Peña Cigal

Volvimos por el mismo camino. Una vista hacia Peña Ciquera
We returned the same way. Here looking back up towards Peña Ciquera
bajamos la cuesta
and then down the slope
y nos dirigimos hacia el bosque
and towards the woods
Llegamos al coche 15 minutos antes de la puesta de sol - ¡así se aprovecha el día!
We got back to the car 15 minutes before sunset - that's what I call making the most of the day!
